The full length trailer for Jason X
has appeared over at the Apple
site and to be honest, and in total contrast to our review
below, it looks rather good. Anyway, see
for yourself. The trailer is in Quicktime in various resolutions.

Just received our first review of Jason
X from Blair and to be honest, it's not good. Worst film of
2002 so far? Tell us Blair...
The
movie was very boring. I couldnt stand it to the point
where I considered walking out, but instead decided to try
to fall asleep. Unfortunately, the movie was a bit too loud
to sleep. I have to admit there were two things I was amused
by in this movie: (1) A killing involving liquid nitrogen!
And (2) A comment about the war known as the Microsoft
Conflict. But beyond these two miniscule portions of
the movie, everything else was unentertaining to a degree
which is hard to express in words. I absolutely hated this
film (a disgrace to the idea of film). Read Blair's full review
here.

Jason X, the tenth Friday the 13th movie, has now completed
all stages of production and there are a few positive and
negative reviews online. Rhonda's Reviews posted an opinion
on a test print of the movie,
"The film is indeed impressive in its use of special
effects. You get the idea that they've embraced their cheesy
80's horror flick past, and even made it an integral part
of the film. In one scene, you even get to see a virtual reality
reproduction of the old Camp Crystal Lake. Mind you this film
isn't a work of art. You might say that it's the it's Friday
the 13th all grown up. The popular 90's culture delves into
the world of outer space science fiction. The horror genre
of the past has upgraded to a new level, and given itself
a fresh new look". (originally appeared at Rhondas
Reviews)
A completed version of Jason X was shown at the Fantasy Filmfest
in Munich, Germany on July 25th. Coming
Attractions posted a small review sent in by a scooper
who had nothing but positive things to say about the movie.
The audience apparently loved it. Click the above link to
read more.
Although the film premiered over in Germany last week, it
doesn't get a US release until March of next year, with the
UK following later.
Director, Jim Issac has worked on Return Of The Jedi (as creature
technician), The Fly (creature effects) and project supervisor
on Naked Lunch. As far as I can tell, Jason X is his directorial
debut.
