I received this scoop via email a couple of days ago, but it got lost in the hoards we receive each day. It's from an extra on the set of Martin Campbell's Beyond Borders starring Angelina Jolie, now shooting.

"I was an extra on the set for Beyond Borders. After shooting this scene for 6 days the crew renamed the film Beyond Boring. If the scene I was in is anything like the rest of the movie it will be a dud. My hat off to Angelina who was at all times very professional and open to chatting with the extras. Angelina is a real lady. Unfortunately this movie will have to have some magic done to it for it to be released".

"While we were shooting the ballroom scene we all had a good laugh. There were about 200 people dressed for the Gala in London, England. They brought in an English comedian who started to tell jokes. On the side of the stage they had someone who would raise and lower their arm as a cue for the audience to start laughing.. They did this not because the comedian wasn't funny. They had to do this since this scene was shot in Montreal and 95% of the extras were French and couldn't understand the comedian".

A project that was originally to be directed by Oliver Stone, Beyond Borders is now helmed by Martin Campbell (The Mask Of Zorro, Vertical Limit, Goldeneye) and stars Clive Owen (Croupier/ Gosford Park) opposite Angelina Jolie (Tomb Raider). Owen will play relief worker Nick Ward with Joile as philanthropist socialite Sarah Jennings. Noah Emmerich (The Truman Show, Frequency), Teri Polo (Meet The Parents) and Linus Roache (The Wings Of The Dove) are also lined up to star. Owen recently revealed the following in an interview;

"I play this very angry relief worker who is trying to get money to where it really matters. It's a sort of dramatic romance set against the backdrop of Cambodia."

Shooting was scheduled to start on December 15th 2001 with filming in Thailand to begin in April (Thanks to Upcoming Movies).
